Former flyweight and super flyweight World Boxing Organization (WBO) world champion Omar "El Huracan" Narvaez has his return date set, against Diego "La Pantera" Liriano Pichardo, who is Dominican but living in Buenos Aires. The fight will occur on Friday September 18 in the province of Narvaez's hometown of Chubut, where two sites are being considered.

Narvaez (43-2-2, 23 KOs), 39-years-old, says the upcoming fight against Pichardo (16-6-1, 3 KOs), 30, will be the first fight of his march to another new world title.

This will be Narvaez's first fight since getting knocked out by Naoya Inoue in two rounds last December in Japan.
