It's been reported that WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison has had his court case adjourned until February 2007, which allows the fight with Juan Manuel Marquez to take place this year, likely on November 4 in Glasgow's Braehead Arena. There were some that were worried that Harrison's court case may delay training, and cause the cancellation of the Marquez bout.

Recently, the fighter was detained by Strathclyde police outside the court and taken in for several hours of questioning with respect to an alleged assault in East Kilbride in July, he was later released.

"Scott's problems are well known," said manager Barry Hughes. "But that is behind him now and I am helping him move on and resume his career. He has been training well and will be a great shape by the time the fight comes off. Márquez may be underestimating him."

As reported earlier, promoter Frank Warren outbid Marquez's promoter Oscar De La Hoya for the right to stage Harrison-Márquez bout in Glasgow, giving Harrison the home advantage. Warren won with an offer of $748,000 to Oscar De La Hoya's offer of $715,000.
