WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito "Filipino Flash" Donaire (37-3) last fought in April when he battered Zsolt Bedak in 3 rounds in his native country of the Philippines. The fight was the first defense of the title Donaire won this past December in a thrilling victory over Cesar Juarez.

Next up for Donaire is a bout against his mandatory challenger Jessie Magdaleno (23-0). The 33-year-old said that he has no problems giving the young prospect a shot at his title.

"He is the mandatory challenger and you know me, I will fight anybody. I gave the young lion (Nicolas) Walters a chance and I came up short. I always will keep doing that because I will fight the best out there. Whoever they think is better than me or at my level - bring it on baby," Donaire stated.

The loss to Walters took place in the featherweight division and prompted Donaire, who is a former flyweight titlist, to move back down to the super bantamweight division.

Donaire said that he definitely plans on moving back to the 126 pound division in the future and was very impressed with WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez's recent title winning knockout of Matias Rueda and sees him as a potential future opponent.

"I definitely want to go back to 126 when I get done with 122. Valdez is an amazing fighter. He's a freaking hungry lion and a champion and an amazing person first and foremost. He's an amazing champion and that is definitely something to look forward too," Donaire told BoxingScene.com.
