Last week, reports were circulating on the internet with respect to Oscar De La Hoya approaching Zab Judah for a possible bout, a tuneup or otherwise, to take place in the early part of 2008. Judah's promoter Brian Young told writer Dan Rafael that Judah was never approached for a De La Hoya bout, and no talks have taken place for such a bout with De La Hoya's company, Golden Boy Promotions.
Judah made his junior middleweight debut over the weekend, winning a unanimous decision over Ryan Davis at the Casablanca Casino in Turks And Caicos Islands. Young also said that Judah may have broken his left hand in the fight and is scheduled to get it checked out during the week.
