Colombia boxer Nilson "The Hammer" Tapia, who lives in Panama, is traveling to Kazakhstan for a world title clash for the WBA "regular" middleweight title held by the unbeaten Kazakh Gennady Golovkin. The fight happens on December 16. Tapia has never been stopped and fought unbeaten prospect Austin Trout to a close majority decision loss last September.

Tapia reiterated that he devoted the title win to Panama, although he was born in Acandí, Chocó, Colombia.

"I came to Panama when I was 8 years old from Colombia, where I had never fought. Panama is my home. This is where I live and I will dedicate the win to Panama because there is no other place that I would dedicate to," Tapia said.
