According to trainer Alexander Zimin, former WBA world heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev, may resume his boxing career this June. The 'Russian Giant' (50-2, 34 KOs) has been inactive since he lost his WBA title in November 2009 to David Haye (25-1, 23 KOs). Valuev had his shoulder and right wrist operated on late last year. The 37-year-old Russian boxer later said he did not intend to retire and wants to resume his career.
"If the rehabilitation process goes ahead according to our plan, Nikolai will be ready for a serious bout in June," Zimin told RIA Novosti.
