At the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, heavyweight Nicolai Firtha (18-7-1, 7 KOs) stopped Tony Grano (17-2-1, 13 KOs) in two rounds. Grano went down from a bomb he never saw coming at the end of the first round. Firtha finished him off in the second with another knockdown and a battering before it was stopped.

Grano had been building steam since knocking out Travis Kauffman last year. That steam has been crushed. Firtha had lost three out of his last four coming into this fight.

In the co-feature, featherweight contender Mike Oliver (24-2, 8 KOs) beat veteran and former champ Mauricio Pastrana (35-14-2, 23 KOs) with an eight round disqualification. Pastrana lost two points for illegal tactics in the contest and final DQ'd for being dirty in the eight.
