Mikey Williams/Top RankOn Saturday, October 10, fighter advocate and grandson of Muhammad Ali, Nico Ali Walsh, will return to the ring for the first time this year in an eight-round middleweight bout against undefeated Treavon Craycraft.
Ali Walsh, 12-2-1 (5 KOs), originally from Chicago, and Craycraft, 9-0-1 (3 KOs), of Ambridge, Pennsylvania, will headline the 10-fight professional boxing portion of the two-day 2026 “Heart Of America” Pro-Am Boxing Invitational event, broadcast live worldwide on CombatVisionTV from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.
Walsh took the lead in pushing back against the proposed Muhammad Ali Boxing Revival Act in his highly publicized testimony to the U.S. Senate in April, insisting it would dismantle the anti-monopoly and firewall protections established by his grandfather under the original 2000 Act.
Walsh was last in the ring in December 2025, scoring a six-round unanimous decision over Jeremiah Sserwadda at Duty Free Tennis Stadium in Dubai.
“For the past 10 months, my biggest fight hasn’t been inside the ring, it’s been in Washington, D.C., working with lawmakers,” said Ali Walsh. “I’m proud to say we’ve made meaningful progress and helped bring about some important changes for fighters. I’m so happy to be back under the lights and doing what I love…BOXING. On October 10 I’m going to give the fans of Kansas City a great show and continue building my own legacy while I proudly represent what my grandfather built in this sport.”
The event is presented by BiYu Promotions.
