The Canadian heavyweight champion Neven Pajkic (16-0-0) added another belt to his collection, the NABA Canada title. In the main event battle of an event presented by WildCard Promotions at the Molson Centre in Barrie, Ontario, he defeated the American Johnnie White (22-4-0) by unanimous decision.
On the same card, the long-awaited duel between Tye "Big Sky" Fields (45-2-0), a heavyweight Montana native who settled in Edmonton, Alberta, and former Canadian champion, Toronto's Ray Mount Kilimanjaro Olubowale (8-5-1) finally ended by TKO at 2:06 of the third round for Fields.
In a woman's bout, Lindsay Garbatt (7-3-1) kept her WIBA world title by defeating Jelena Mrdjenovich (24-7-1), again, but this time by majority decision. The first meeting between the two rivals on Nov. 19 last had ended in a split decision, also for Garbatt.
On the undercard, light heavyweight Jason Douglas (9-3-0) returned to his winning ways after having suffered a defeat in Las Vegas last October at the hands of Henry Namauu. This time, he defeated former Canadian champion Frank White (7-4-2) by unanimous decision.
