MGM Grand, Las Vegas - During the final press conference for Saul Alvarez vs. Josesito Lopez, the head of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, Keith Kizer, took an unexpected swipe at HBO's broadcast team. Alvarez-Lopez headlines a Showtime televised quadrupleheader.

“There was another fight here on June [9], but some of the veterans [judges] at ringside that felt badly that night won’t feel so bad this time, because HBO, [Jim] Lampley and [Harold] Lederman won’t be there. I like the Showtime announcers much better,’’ Kizer said.

With dueling events on Saturday night, Kizer was also present for Wednesday's final press conference at the Wynn, where middleweights Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Sergio Martinez discussed their HBO pay-per-view main event.
