Savarese Promotions, Havoc at the Houston Club. In a battle of two young Houston prospects, Tyrone "Solja Black" Selders (5-0, 5 KOs) out of Main St. gym matched up with 2008 Texas Golden Gloves champion Nelson Ramos (4-1, 2KOs).  Selders is a rising star in the Lou Savarese stable while Ramos is Willie Boyd's latest protégé.

Solja Black began as the aggressor while Ramos boxed from the outside, and each had their moments during the first three rounds.  The fourth round brought the most excitement of the match with back and forth action in which each rocked the other’s chin repeatedly.

But Selders had never been a full four rounds thus far as a pro and got backed up to the ropes during their exchange, allowing Ramos to move in and out and land big combinations.

After that it became game of Nelson staying light on his feet, using the ring and picking shots, and Selders chasing and having trouble finding the target.  All three judges awarded the bout to Ramos five rounds to one.

Boyd and Ramos are assisted by Richard Viscusi, son of boxing hall of fame manager “Mr. Lou” Viscusi.
