The Daily Telegraph reports that former IBF junior welterweight champion Lovemore Ndou will be flying to America in September to help Floyd Mayweather Jr. prepare for his Dec. 8 pay-per-view bout with Ricky Hatton at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Ndou will be Mayweather's chief sparring partner during camp. He's hoping to land a spot on the Dec. 8 undercard if a rematch with Paulie Malignaggi does not come off. Ndou lost his IBF title in June to Malignaggi, and hopes the rematch clause in the fight contract can secure him a chance at revenge. The problem with making a rematch is the fact that Malignaggi dominated him the first time, and as a result none of the US networks are interested in picking up the bout.

Currently he's helping stablemate, undefeated Rob Medley, for his IBO welterweight title fight with Isaac Hlatshwayo on October 12.
