Dan Nazareno Jr has won the Pan Asian Boxing Association light welterweight title with a 6th round TKO of champion Manfa Luksaikongdin of Thailand.
The 20 year old Nazareno Jr joined stablemate Allan Tanada of Rod Nazario’s “In This C orner” Gym who won the OPBF super featherweight title with a spectacular 3rd round TKO over world Rikiya Fukuhara in Saitama, Japan, also on Monday.
With the win Nazareno Jr improves to 14-4 with 10 knockouts while the 22 year old Manfa who had seven successful title defenses drops to 16-9 with 11 knockouts.
However in a PABA flyweight title fight Ric Megrino who was ranked No.13 lost by a 6th round knockout to Tepparith Singwancha. The time was 1:17. Tepparith was making his third defense of the title he won on December 25, 2009 beating another Filipino Nino Suelo by a unanimous decision.
It was Megrino’s third straight loss and his record drops to 12-13-2 with 10 knockouts while Tepparith improves to 12-2 with 9 knockouts.
