Nathan Cleverly insists that after winning a world title, he will no longer be "the new Joe Calzaghe".
Comparisons between Cleverly and Wales' most famous fighter have been inevitable.
The two even shared the same gym when Cleverly first came into the sport.
But interim WBO light-heavyweight champion Cleverly, 24, is determined to be his own man.
And he gets the chance to fight for the full WBO title on May 21 at the O2 Arena, London.
It's on an action-packed Frank Warren card that also features James DeGale against George Groves.
"Winning the world title would see me come out of Joe's shadow," unbeaten Cleverly told the BBC.
"I have been creeping out of that shadow for the last nine fights by winning the British, Commonwealth and European titles.
"And winning this world title would put the icing on the cake and I'll become Nathan Cleverly, Wales' next world champion."
"I'm obviously going to be compared to Joe.
"Joe was outstanding and is an absolute legend so to be compared to him as a positive.
"It will be an awesome feeling to win a world champion and I am around the corner from achieving that."
