Former champion 'Prince' Naseem Hamed, has been freed from jail after serving 16 weeks of a 15-month sentence in Moorland open prison in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Hamed was convicted of dangerous driving, which took place when Hamed was speeding and crashed head-on with another vehicle, seriously hurting a 38-year-old man and his wife last May. Anthony Burgin, the victim, suffered fractures to every major bone in his body as a result of the crash.
Hamed left prison in style at 8:15am, carrying two bags, and then entered a waiting Rolls-Royce. Hamed will wear an electronic tag under the Home Office's Home Detention Curfew (HDC) scheme.
