Two Filipino light welterweights have been beaten by Japanese opponents in a fight card at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.

Amor Tino lost a ten round unanimous decision to Japan’s Shinya Nagase while Joel Dela Cruz lost an eight round unanimous decision to Takashi Inagaki.

All three judges had Nagase the winner by scores of 100-92, 98-93 and 98-94 while in the other bout the judges had Inagaki the winner by margins of 80-76, 79-73 and 78-72.

With the win the 28 year old Nagase improved his record to 17-3-2 with 9 knockouts while Tino, according to boxrec.com dropped to 4-6-1 with 1 knockout although the records of Filipino boxers are often inaccurate since boxrec records often do not include updated fight results from the Philippines.

The 24 year old Inagaki improved to 12-8 with 5 knockouts while Dela  Cruz fell to 10-8-1 with 4 knockouts.

Significantly, the boxrec.com record of Dela Cruz indicated that he lost a twelve round split decision to Sod Looknongyangtoy on November 28, 2008 in Amnart Charoen, Thailand  and just two days later was knocked down twice and lost to Terdsak Jandaeng by a twelve round unanimous decision in a battle for the vacant WBO Oriental super featherweight title fight in Mandaue City, Cebu.
