Nacho Sees Jhonny Gonzalez Going as High as 135

Legendary trainer Nacho Beristain is singing the praises of WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (57-8, 48KOs), and proposes he should be “Boxer of the year."
“At this moment, I'm not aware of any boxer who could compete with Jhonny for the “Boxer of the Year” award. Finally and deservedly, the recognitions are coming into his life. I'm sure he will keep gaining titles and triumphs in the future, as he still has some years left in the sport," said Nacho who's a Canastota Boxing Hall of Famer in his own right.
He also explained: “ We are now working on plans for the coming year. Jhonny's first fight would probably be during the first few months. We are focusing on physical conditioning, but gradually, as he's returning from a more than deserved vacation. We are awaiting the name of his rival in order to plan strategy. We want to dominate the division before climbing up to super featherweight, and even maybe to lightweight. Jhonny is certainly tall enough for it."
