Unbeaten junior welterweight Mykquan Williams will return against Antonio Moran on April 5 in Philadelphia.
In the same ProBox TV card, headlined by Nicklaus Flaz vs Gabriel Maestre at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, Pro Box TV also announced on Tuesday that heavyweight Sonny Conto, 13-0 (10 KOs), was forced to pull out of his scheduled bout.
Williams, 22-0-2 (11 KOs), a 26-year-old from Hartford, Connecticut, has been in fine form, finishing his past three opponents before the final bell. Most recently, Mykquan Williams stopped Lavisas Williams last October, also on ProBox TV.
Moran, 30-7-1 (21 KOs), a 32-year-old from Mexico City, has lost two of his past three fights – but in both cases to quality competition. He lost a decision to Jamaine Ortiz in September 2023 and, most recently, was stopped by Cuba’s rising Andy Cruz last August. In between, Moran knocked out Romero Duno in January 2024 on ProBox TV.
Also on the April 5 card, Mexico’s Ricardo Salas will take on Kent Cruz, of St. Louis, in a co-main welterweight bout.
