The San Antonio Express-News reports that promoter Murad Muhammad is at it again, as people are looking to get paid from one of his past pay-per-view promotions. Muhammad has built a long list of people who've made claims over the years of being stiffed by the New Jersey hall-of-fame promoter.
There are still parties that have not been paid since last year's Alamodome pay-per-view that involved Evander Holyfield vs. Fres Oquendo. This time around, Muhammad has not paid his bills from the July 14 pay-per-view that involved Roy Jones Jr. vs. Anthony Hanshaw in Biloxi, Miss.
Ricardo Vigil, owner of San Antonio printing company Ready 48, said that Muhammad owes him $7,000 for fight posters and flyers he printed for the July card. Vigil was also previously owed $20,000 for the Holyfield-Oquendo card, but eventually received that money.
Muhammad told Vigil that he's waiting to receive the pay-per-view revenue from Jones-Hanshaw. Vigil has been unable to reach him for some time, and plans to file a complaint with the local commission.
"Now, every time I call," Vigil says, "I can't reach him."
