TOKYO — Venezuela's Alexander Munoz kept his WBA super flyweight title Monday with a unanimous decision over Japan's Kuniyuki Aizawa.
Munoz was in control from the early rounds and sent the challenger to the canvas in the ninth round.
Munoz, who won the title from Japan's Nobuo Nashiro in May, improved to 31-2-0 with 27 KOs. Aizawa, ranked No. 6, was making his first challenge and fell to 13-2-1 with 10 KOs.
