WBC super flyweight champion Zulina “Loba” Munoz (40-1-2, 26KOs) has successfully defended her title four times during a packed 2013, and is now planning for an even busier new year.

“Loba” defeated Argentina's clinging Marisa “Nena” Portillo by eighth round disqualification on November 30th in chilly Toluca. This follows her triumphs against Japan's Tenkai Tsunami, Uruguayan Soledad Macedo and compatriot Maribel Ramírez. To achieve this she's received inspiration from her young son Dylan, and worked hard with trainers Mauro, Lázaro y Joaquín Ayala.

Mauro Ayala said that Zulina paved the way for her latest success with a picture perfect left hook to "Nena's" right eye in the first round, and then wore her out with sinking body blows, ebbing her will to engage.
