A Ring of Their Own returns to Edmonton, Alberta June 23 for the "Women of Mass Destruction card. The main event will see a title clash between Jelena Mrdjenovich (16-1-0) and Mia St. John (42-6-2) as they fight for the WIBF Lightweight crown. This event is a move up in weight for Mrdjenovich and also a fight against one of women’s boxing’s biggest names.

Jelena is looking forward to her bout with Mia St. John. "It feels good, I’m excited. I’m excited to be stepping up in my career and be fighting some more well known fighters," she said and is also preparing for the move up in weight. "I think it will be OK for me- I’m going to work with my dietitian and put on the weight properly rather than just kind of letting everything go." Jelena stated.

Mia St. John’s clash with Jelena Mrdjenovich will be her 51st fight and she is preparing for a battle. "Training is going well," Mia stated. "Jelena’s KO’s of her opponents tell me she is a puncher so I’m training to fight a puncher. I’ve hired Fredia Gibbs to train me for this fight, who will also work my corner during the fight."
