"Sugar" Shane Mosley has a plan to bring Manny Pacquiao to the table. But first, Mosley returns on September 18 on HBO pay-per-view against fellow former champion Sergio Mora. The Staples Center event will revolve around the celebration of Mexican Independece Day.
WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will attempt to win a title in his eight weight division when he faces Antonio Margarito on November 13 for the vacant WBC junior middleweight belt.
Provided Mosley beats Mora, he plans to explore the possibility of heading north to challenge WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez. If Mosley manages to get past Martinez, he wants to lure Pacquiao to the table by offering him the opportunity to win a title in a ninth weight division.
"Sergio Mora is a tough fight because he beat Vernon Forrest. So, he's a durable fighter and he's bigger than me. So I figured that I'll fight him, and then, maybe, go and fight Sergio Martinez next. I mean, hey, Manny Pacquiao might get past Antonio Margarito. And maybe I can fight Manny Pacquiao after that at 160," Mosley said.
