It appears that minor talks are ongoing for a bout between WBO welterweight champion Antonio Margartito and former welterweight champion Shane Mosley, who is moving back down to 147-pounds in 2007.

According to scribe Dan Rafael, talks have taken place between both sides for a 2007 pay-per-view bout. Margarito would first have to be victorious against Joshua Clottey on Dec. 2 for the proposed fight to have any chance of becoming a reality.

HBO is said to be the mediator between rival promoters Golden Boy (Mosley) and Top Rank (Margarito) to try and make the fight.
