First it was on, then off and now on again?

Various sources that are close to the situation have said that a Feb 10 bout between Shane Mosley and IBF welterweight champion Kermit Cintron is in serious jeopardy of being off, with a bout between Mosley and former welterweight champ Luis Collazo being back on.

Originally Mosley was looking to face Collazo, but was able to strike a deal for the Cintron bout and found it more lucrative with a major title at stake. An official Golden Boy Promotions press release was sent to the media announcing the Mosley-Cintron bout, but soon after it was revealed that a financial dispute between Cintron and his promoter Bobby Bostick, combined with a lawsuit by Cintron's former promoters Main Events over who should have the rights to promote Cintron, has thrown a serious wrench into the fight.

It is now being said that Luis Collazo may be back in the picture as Golden Boy Promotions does want to involve itself in any type of legal battle that may stem from the Cintron promotional mess, and they do not want to hold up/postpone Mosley's February HBO date.

An official word should be coming down sooner than later on the exact status of Mosley's next opponent.
