The WBA's "super champion" at bantamweight, Panama's Anselmo "Chemito" Moreno (30-1-1, 10KOs), continues with a strong training camp for his eighth defense against former WBA world flyweight champion Lorenzo "Lencho" Parra (32-2-1, 18KOs) of Venezuela.
Parra has expressed a lot of respect for his next opponent, as he always does. The Venezuelan boxer's experience does not concern Moreno in the least. He wants to keep working to demonstrate to the Panamanian fans that "Chemito" Moreno will be around for awhile and you will never see an opponent snatch his crown.
Preparation for the fight is taking place in the capital of Panama City under the command of coach Celso Chavez Jr., who has been in Chemito's corner since the amateur ranks.
With regard to current weight, Chemito weighed in at around 146 pounds when he first arrived and is currently down to 135 pounds, which signifies the work being done to be in his best form possible on February 18.
