The fight between WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo Moreno and interim-champ Nehomar Cermeno is heading to the interim-champion's country of Venezuela. Former super featherweight champion Jorge Linares is scheduled to make his return on the undercard. It will be Linares' first fight since the knockout loss to Juan Carlos Salgado from September. The television rights have been set up with a network in Panama and a network Japan is expected to pick up the event. Linares got permission from his co-promoters, Golden Boy and Teiken, to appear on the show.

"First of all, I would like to thank the company Boxtrack [who are putting the event together] for their interest in my career, and for the great opportunity they have provided. Fighting in my country will help get me more motivated to resume my career. It will be nice to fight before my fans and regain their trust in me," Linares said.

"I am just waiting for confirmation about my opponent but I have to announce the return of Jorge Zerpa as my professional trainer. It is also another great piece of news because he was the person who helped me win my first world title at featherweight."

Cermeno is ready to put on a show as he fights for the first time ever as a pro in his home country of Venezuela. The promoters are close to setting a firm date and venue for the show.

"I will prepare better than ever to fight for the first time before my people, in my house, since I have been a professional. This will be a great opportunity, plus I guarantee that I will be the new champion," Cermeno said.
