Brooklyn, New York- ‘The Latin Snake’ Sergio Mora will look to finally seize the opportunity to win a middleweight world title when he steps in the ring against WBA 'regular' champion Danny Jacobs at the Barclays Center. The fight will be televised as part of the  Premier Boxing Champions card on ESPN.

Many pundits believe if Mora’s only chance to win on Saturday is to make it a boring contest with his movement and jab.

Mora disagrees, stating that it doesn't have to play out in that type of manner for him to be victorious.

“I don’t need to bore the place out,” Mora told BoxingScene.com. “I think I can box, mix it up on the inside. In order to bore the place out it takes two. If he comes to take my head off and I’m boxing him nicely, how is that going to be boring? If I move and he doesn’t know how to stop me from moving and he’s just a power puncher, it takes two to make a fight boring.”

Mora actually thinks that his fight with Jacobs will be the best come Saturday.

“If we stink up the place Saturday.... well we’re not going to stink the place out because I have to be aggressive and land shots to sway the judges my way,” explained Mora. “We’re going to steal the show.”

Mora’s style isn’t one that may be appealing to many and says if it wasn’t for manager Al Haymon and promoter Lou Dibella - the doors would be closed on his career.

“The Contender saved my career as all the doors were shut on me because of boxing politics. “Now I’m in the second phase on my career. Everyone was trying to shut the doors on my career and Lou Dibella and Al Haymon and PBC opened up doors for me again.”
