The former WBC/WBO bantamweight champion Fernando "Kochulito" Montiel (44-3, 334KOs) has been telling those close to him that on June 25 he will face Nehomar Cermeno (20-3, 12KOs) in Mexico. Cermeno is already scheduled to fight Brazil's Roberto Santos De Jesus on the big Chemito Moreno-Lorenzo Parra card on June 17 in Panama. It is assumed that he will withdraw from that card if a deal with Montiel is finalized. Montiel comes back from the two round knockout loss to Nonito Donaire, suffered in February.
