Steve "The Canadian Kid" Molitor (25-0, 10KOs) won a unanimous twelver-round decision over Fahsan 3K Battery (58-9, 35KOs) to retain his IBF junior featherweight title at Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada. A sold-out crowd of 5,200 screaming fans were cheering for Molitor.
For several weeks, Molitor had predicted a knockout within seven rounds, but 3K Battery was able to take the punches, even when he was tagged flush on the chin. 3K Battery was outboxed in almost every round and too slow to catch up with the quick Canadian.
In the final 30-seconds of the twelfth round, both of them let their hands go. Neither was able to land that sought-after knockout blow. The scores were 119-109, 119-109 and 120-108. Molitor plans to return to the ring in January and April.
