IBF junior featherweight champion Steve Molitor (24-0, 10KOs) hopes a convincing win over Fashung 3K Battery (58-8-1, 35KO) at Casino Rama on Saturday will bring him one step closer to a high profile fight on a network like HBO.

Molitor told the Mississauga News that 3K Battery has nothing to lose and everything to gain in the fight.

“This guy, he has nothing to lose,” explained Molitor. “I have everything to lose. I’ve gotta look good. There’s a bit more pressure. But that comes with the territory of being a professional world champion. So it’s something you’ve got to deal with. Until you’re on HBO against the big guys, you’re not going to get to the very, very top."

3K Battery of Thailand is looking for the upset, yet Molitor predicts the fight will be over by the seventh round.

“He’s a little awkward,” Molitor said. “There’s going to be an adjustment period the first couple of rounds, but once I start finding my range, it’s going to be (over) real quick.”
