Mizuki Hiruta aims to make her sixth title defense of the WBO junior bantamweight title against veteran Gloria Gallardo on Saturday at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California.
Hiruta, 29, weighed in under the championship weight limit of 114.6lbs, while Rosarito, Mexico’s Gloria Gallardo, came in right at 115.0lbs.
Hiruta, 9-0 (2 KOs), made her debut in the United States in January earlier this year. This bout will mark her fourth fight of 2025. Originally from Tokyo, Hiruta now trains with Manny Robles in Southern California.
Gallardo, 16-3-3 (7 KOs), enters the fight as the seasoned veteran. Hiruta turned pro in 2021, whereas Gallardo made the move into the pro ranks in 2014. Gallardo, 31, is also two years older and has gone 141 rounds as a pro (compared to Hiruta’s 65). Gallardo stopped Maria de Lourdes Garcia in March. Before that win, she lost an IBF title fight to Irma Garcia in December 2024.
The bout will air on UFC Fight Pass and is promoted by 360 Promotions.
