Unbeaten British junior welterweight Kevin Mitchell is not done with Amir Khan just yet. The war of words began a few days and there seems to be no end in sight. Mitchell and Khan return to action on May 15 on separate events. Khan defends his WBA title against Paulie Malignaggi in New York. Mitchell goes for the WBO's interim-title when he challenges Michael Katsidis in the UK.

Mitchell thinks he can become the next driving force in British boxing.

"The future of British boxing can lie in my hands and it will lie in my hands. I'm switched on, I'm ready to fight, training has gone perfectly. It's a massive fight and it's the one that's going to throw me into the massive league," Mitchell told UK outlet The People.

Mitchell didn't back away from his opinion that Amir went for the easy option by avoiding Marcos Maidana. He thinks Khan is avoiding any risks and that says something about his character as a fighter.

"Amir has taken the easy option there. Me and Michael is a lot tougher fight, we've both taken a bigger gamble than Amir has taken. This definitely shows more of a statement of intent from me than Amir," Mitchell said.
