The vacant EBU featherweight title will be disputed between Alex Miskirtchian (24-3-1) and Rudy Encarnacion (33-23-4). The EBU are now calling for purse bids and all bids received will be opened at noon (Rome time) May 13.
Encarnacion has thus been stripped of the EU title where was all set to defend it against Sofiane Takoucht on July 10 in Fuengirola. Rudy is 10-0-1 over the last three years after spending a long time as a good journeyman.
Miskirtchian lost to IBF champion Evgeny Gradovich last year and previously held the EBU title.
The title became vacant when Josh Warrington relinquished it due to a minor injury.
