Edison Miranda has predicted a knockout win when he meets IBF middleweight champ Arthur Abraham for the second time on Saturday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Abraham holds a controversial decision win over Miranda when they met in Germany two-years ago. The non-title rematch takes place at a catch-weight of 166-pounds.
"Before I only sacrificed for myself and for the material things that a person always wants, but now my daughter gives me more of a reason to sacrifice and to win," Miranda told El Nuevo Dia. Now when I sacrifice I'm always thinking of her."
"There are many other reasons, many motivations to win. More than just taking a step forward, the motives are tangled up in the middle of some personal things that are also involved in the fight and I believe that on Saturday we are going to retaliate against all of those things that consider inside."
Miranda feels the two year gap between fights had done well for him in terms of experience. The first fight saw a bloody Abraham gut it out with a badly broken jaw. Miranda promises to give Abraham a bigger beating in the rematch.
"This time it will be worse for Abraham. I have a lot more experience, I've taken my time to make weight. We are much more prepared than the last time, we have more knowledge and we have faced better fighters with more experience," Miranda said.
