Mikkel Kessler Stops Danilo Haussler in Three Rounds

By Mark Vester

In Oldenburg, Germany, Mikkel Kessler (41-1, 31KOs) retained the WBA super middleweight title with a crushing performance by stopping former Euro champ Danilo Haussler (29-4-1, 7KOs) in three-rounds. Most viewed Haussler, coming off a draw with Cristian Sanavia, as an overmatched opponent - and he was. Kessler dominated the fight from start to finish, stunning Haussler several times and finally putting him away in the third.

On the undercard, junior middleweight contender Alexander Abraham (23-0-1, 16KOs), brother of IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham, stopped Roman Dzuman (23-6-1, 10KOs) in the sixth-round.
