Some of the biggest fights are taking place in 2017.

Earlier this month, another blockbuster bout got announced - with three-division world champion Mikey Garcia moving up in weight to 140 pounds to face four-division champion Adrien “The Problem” Broner in the main event of a Premier Boxing Champions on Showtime card.

The fight takes place on July 29th at a venue to be determined in the near future.

At just 27 years old, Broner (33-2, 24 KOs) still believes he is the future of the sport, while 29 year old Garcia (36-0, 30 KOs) wants to become a superstar in the sport.

Garcia has been studying Broner for a long time. Garcia's older brother and trainer, Robert Garcia, was the header trainer for Marcos Maidana when he handed Broner his first career defeat in 2013 to capture the WBA welterweight title.

Broner's two career defeats came against welterweights, with the other loss coming against Shawn Porter.

Garcia noticed that Broner does not fight very well when his opponent applies a lot of pressure and constantly attacks.

"The fights where Adrien lost or really looked bad, was when Marcos Maidana beat him and Shawn Porter beat him. Adrian Granados gave him a lot of difficulties and that happened when [Broner] was pressured, when he was attacked. I have to be more aggressive than normal, but with a lot of intelligence... I can't just throw crazy punches... I have to throw a lot with the left hand. When Broner goes to the side, the left is the key," Garcia told Golpe a Golpe.

Beyond Broner, Garcia will be targeting the other world champions at 135-pounds - like WBA champion Jorge Linares.

"The plan is to return to lightweight and pursue a unification or a good defense. At the moment there was no opportunity to do it and the fight with Broner was offered to me... it was the one that gave me the most interest, but I think I will go down in weight again," said Garcia.
