Undefeated welterweight prospect Mike Jones (18-0, 15KOs) continues to climb the ladder to a title shot. The Philadelphia fighter won a ten round decision over Lenin Arroyo to retain his NABA title on Saturday night at Bally's in Atlantic City. It was the first time Jones went the ten round distance and he looked good as he battered Arroyo with power punches throughout the fight.
Jones is ranked at 10 by the WBA, 12 by the IBF and 12 by the WBO. The Arroyo win is the second bout for Jones in 2009. His handlers will look to bring him back at least one or two more times before the end of the year.
