Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has been trying to clean up his image for the last few months but trouble always seems to find him. According to reports in the LA Times and TMZ, Tyson was involved in some kind of an altercation at LAX Airport with an unamed photographer. Early details are thin but TMZ reported that Tyson was arrested for battery and taken away in a police car.

There was blood on the ground, according to the TMZ report. Their report notes that Tyson punched the photographer in the face and put him down. The photographer got up bleeding and left a trail of blood in the airport. He was taken away in an ambulance to a local hospital.

Update: Tyson's spokeswoman Tammy Brook said the boxer was at the airport with his wife and 10-month-old daughter. He claims to have acted in self-defense when he was attacked by an aggressive photographer. Tyson was later released by the police. Both Tyson and the photographer want to press charges for battery.
