Mike Perez won't have the services of Abel Sanchez for the biggest fight of his career.

Instead, it will be Adam Booth who will work the corner of Perez for the Irishman's heavyweight scrap against Bryant Jennings on May 24 on HBO, Sanchez told BoxingScene.com on Wednesday.

Booth is training Perez in Ireland fight the bout, Sanchez said. Sanchez usually trains Perez in Big Bear, Calif., but Perez had visa issues and could only come over to the U.S., three to four weeks ahead of the fight.

How does Sanchez think Perez will fare without his tutelage?

"That's a tough fight, it all really depends on Mike's frame of mind coming into the fight," Sanchez said. "We know what happened the last fight (a draw with Carlos Takam) and it's important to be 100 percent against Jennings because Jennings is a real threat."
