UIC Forum, Chicago, IL - For the IBF-USBA light heavyweight title, Mike Lee (18-0, 10 KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Chris Traietti (21-4, 17 KOs). The scores were 98-91, 99-90, 99-90.

Lee was sharper and landing a lot more punches in the first round. Lee rocked him in the second with a big counter and then landed several more follow-up shots that forced Traietti down to a knee for a knockdown call. Lee had little respect for Traietti, by coming forward and pushing a fast pace in the fight.

Traietti seemed to get himself back in the fight in the third and fourth rounds, but Lee dominated once again with his workrate in the fifth and sixth, and landed the harder shots.

Lee continued to have the edge in the seventh and eight, with harder shots that started to swell up the face of Traietti and bloodied his nose. Lee was tagging Traietti with hard shots in the ninth. Traietti was trying, but he wasn't active enough with his punches and he was too slow. Even during the tenth, Lee closed much stronger with the better workrate.

Junior welterweight prospect Ed Brown (7-0, 6KOs), who stands at 6'1, stopped Robert Acevedo (13-17-3, 1KO) in three rounds. A big right hand in the third turned Acevedo's entire body around in the corner. Acevedo never actually went down, but turned his back in the corner. Acevedo was in bad shape and the referee waved it off.

Middleweight prospect Alantex Fox (21-0-1, 10KOs), who stands at a tall 6'5, scored a second round knockout of Ronald Montes (17-4, 15KOs).

The much taller Fox controlled the action and was landing the better punches from the opening bell. In the second round, a hard left hook to the body sent Montes down for the full count.

Montes got a knockout win in June against a fighter who was 5-61, which snapped a three fight losing skid to Wilky Campfort, Jorge Paez Jr, and Ramses Agaton.

For Fox it was the third fight of the year, with stoppage wins over Milton Nunez and Paul Valenzuela earlier this year.
