MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Junior welterweight Mike Alvarado (30-0, 22KOs) picked up his biggest win to date with a third round stoppage of Ray Narh (25-2, 21KOs). Alvarado came out winging hard pushes and applied a lot of pressure on Narh. After a round, Alvarado became more patient and started picking his shots. In the third, Alvarado began to bang on Narh's body pretty hard and landed a few quick hooks to the head. Prior to the start of the fourth round, referee Robert Byrd was called over to Narh's corner, where the boxer indicated that he was no longer willing to continue.
