Mike Alvarado To Face Emmanuel Clottey on March 7

According to the Denver Post, undefeated junior welterweight prospect Mike Alvarado (24-0, 17KOs) will face Emmanuel Clottey (24-8, 14KOs) on March 7 at the Mile High Event Center in Denver, Colorado.

Alvarado's original opponent, Juaquin Gallardo, withdrew with an injury. Clottey comes in as a late replacement after being out of the ring since a ten-round TKO loss to Victor Ortiz in August 2007. Alvarado is coming off a December knockout of Miguel Angel Huerta. TV Azteca will televise the card.
