IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez (29-3, 13KOs) is reportedly targeting a fall title defense against former three division champion and Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera (67-7, 44KOs). Vazquez has requested this fight in the past and Barrera is looking to win his fourth world title in his fourth weight division. Vazquez returned on Saturday in Toluca and stopped Marlon Aguilar in two rounds. Barrera was last seen in the ring in February and stopped Jose Arias in two rounds in Guadalajara.
