It's been revealed that Miguel Vazquez (25-3, 12KOs) of Mexico and Ji Hoon Kim (21-5, 18KOs) of Korea will fight for the vacant lightweight title of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) on August 14 in Laredo, Texas. Kim has been riding a very long win streak with recent victories over Tyrone Harris, Ameth Diaz and others. Vazquez upset a previously undefeated Breidis Prescott last July with a spit decision win.

Ali Funeka and Joan Guzman fought twice for the vacant title. The first bout ended in a controversial draw and the second time Guzman came in overweight and beat Funeka with a twelve round decision. Guzman has moved up to 140-pounds and Funeka is serving a suspension after testing positive for a banned diuretic.
