Super featherweight contender Miguel "Mickey" Roman (48-11, 37KOs) is hoping to get a shot at the WBC world championship in 2015. The rugged Mexican slugger went pro in 2003 and he's still only 29-years-old.
Roman has built up a ten fight win streak, including nine of them by knockout. A very busy fighter, Roman had six fights in 2013 and four in 2014 - including an upset TKO win over former champion Daniel Ponce De Leon.
Current champion Takashi Miura (28-2-2, 21KOs) is getting the reputation as the destroyer of Mexican contenders. His last four opponent have been top Mexican challengers - all turned - back - Edgar Puerta, Dante Jardon, Sergio Thompson, Gamaliel Diaz.
