Featherweight contender Miguel Marriaga will face Eduardo Montoya this Friday night, promoter Tuto Zabala told BoxingScene.com.
The 12 round bout will take place at the Coliseo Bernardo Caraballo in his hometown on Cartagena, Colombia.
Marriaga (24-1, 20 KOs), who is the mandatory challenger to face WBO titleholder Oscar Valdez, stopped Guy Robb in the sixth round of a world title eliminator on August 27.
Marriaga's only loss came at the hands of Nicholas Walters in June of last year. He has won his last four bouts.
Montoya (19-5-1, 13 KOs), who hails from Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico, has won his last two bouts.
In the 10 round co-feature bout, junior lightweight contender Carlos Ruiz will square off against unbeaten Deiner Berrio.
Ruiz (15-2-1, 5 KOs), who hails from the Mexico City area, has not fought since July 1, when he fought to a 10 round split decision draw against Sebastian Diaz.
Berrio (18-0-1, 11 KOs) has gone the distance in five of his last seven bouts. Berrio resides in Tolu, Colombia.
Junior featherweights Belmar Preciado (14-1-1, 10 KOs) of Colombia and Martin Casillas (15-9-1, 9 KOs) of Mexico collide in a 10 round bout.
