WBA junior middleweight champion Austin Trout (25-0, 14KOs) is expecting that his size and reach advantage will make a difference in his fight with Puerto Rican superstar Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs) on December 1st at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Pedro Diaz, the Cuban trainer of Cotto, is not worried about Trout's advantages. He will train Cotto for two weeks in Puerto Rico, before heading to Big bear in California and then head to Florida.
"Nothing Trout says impresses me. Last I checked, Antonio Margarito is taller, had longer range and was stronger. Yuri Foreman was as well. The height is not an indicator of victory. The left hand, he (Trout) says he will use a lot is not an indicator (of victory), and neither is speed," Diaz said to Raul Alzaga.
"The real indicator (of victory) is a good preparation, good tactics and the desire to win. And we're going for the win. Miguel will be a world champion for the fifth time."
