Promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank already seems to have an idea as to the next fight for WBA welterweight champion Miguel Cotto. Arum says that if Cotto gets by Antonio Margarito on Saturday, and Joshua Clottey beats Zab Judah next Saturday for the vacant IBF welterweight title, he would possibly match the two for a unification showdown in Cotto's backyard of Puerto Rico. Since both fighters are under contact with Top Rank, Arum says the fight will be easy to make.

"If Cotto and Clottey win, it will be very easy for me to stage that fight in Puerto Rico, since both fighters are with my company and I know that Miguel wants to fight again in his country and that Clottey has no fear or objection to fighting him in Puerto Rico," Arum told El Nuevo Dia.

Arum says a date for Cotto's next fight is already reserved by HBO and the tentative plan is to match Cotto and Clottey.

"That is the tentative plan. We have a reserved date with HBO, but first Cotto has a great fight ahead of him with Margarito, so we will have to see," Arum said.

Cotto's defense against Margarito takes place on Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, HBO pay-per-view will televise.
