After months of mulling his next move, Miguel Cotto finally has an official announcement regarding his boxing future. Only, it’s not to announce his next fight, but rather whom he will be rolling with for the remainder of his legendary career.

The only four-division titlist in Puerto Rico’s rich boxing history has confirmed his allegiance to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Sports, a rookie promotional outfit that has made headlines since entering the boxing fray last summer. Cotto’s move was confirmed Thursday morning following speculation over the past 24 hours.

Details of his future with the New York City-based company will be revealed during Thursday morning’s segment on ESPN2’s First Take, with additional news to follow in a formal press conference to take place Thursday afternoon in New York City.

His next fight is likely to take place June 6 or June 13 at Madison Square Garden, the latter date assuming his usual role of preceding the Puerto Rican Day Parade.

Cotto has fought on the eve of the parade on six other occasions - five of which have taken place at Madison Square Garden, beginning with his June '05 knockout win over Mohammed Abdullaev to avenge a loss suffered during the opening round competition in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Most notable among the past appearances was his most recent, scoring a shockingly one-sided 10th round stoppage of Sergio Martinez to win the World middleweight championship.
